On behalf of JSC All-Russian Research Institute of Pulp & Paper Industry and on myself I invite you to take part in the largest in Russia Forum for the forestry, wood processing & pulp & paper industries – PapFor 2010.

Russia is rich in wood supplies. Russian wood & pulp & paper market analysis for recent years let us speak with confidence about some progress in its development rate. Russian manufacturing companies have successfully implemented state-of-the art technologies and moved to new products.

However, our Forest Cluster industries despite their high potential require the radical changes to meet today’s environmental and sustainable development challenges.

Russian Forest Cluster companies are need of advanced technologies, high-tech machinery, as a high depreciation level of their machinery park.

In such situation PapFor international fair is now one of imperative events for Russian timber & pulp & paper industries that enables demonstrating and promoting the innovations and gets together every year more and more exhibitors, visitors and conferees.

PapFor has been held in Saint Petersburg since 1992 and last years it has won prestige of global meeting among the experts from different sectors of commerce & industry.

I am sure PapFor will stimulate the domestic Forest Cluster manufacturers to comply with the world quality and reliability standards for their products.

A key event of PapFor program is state-of-the art conference traditionally dedicated to the urgent problem and prospects for the pulp & paper industry.

Discussing environmental, forestry & timber processing development issues on the base of sustainable wood utilization will allow finding out the most rational, mutually beneficial and conflict-free solutions.

To be a conferee means exchanging the ideas and experience and making the creative decisions for further development of home pulp & paper industry and strengthening its position in the world and domestic market.

PapFor fair and conference is a good fashion podium for foreign machinery and tools producers and designers to demonstrate their innovations in Russia, while Russian manufacturers and scientists to get acquainted with the world advances and reveal their achievements.

I hope both events: the fair and conference will help to promote high-end equipment and solutions in Russian market and drive our Forest Cluster companies to modernize their mills.

The fair program includes also various business and R & D events such as seminars, panel discussions, home and foreign company’s presentation, special expositions.

All these will enable to make easier a long-term forecast for pulp & paper market and outline the ways to shift Russian market to higher efficiency and appeal.

PapFor Organizing Committee will make their best to show the whole spectra of the latest foreign and home innovations for all production chains: from raw material supply and preparation up to making of high-added value products.

I notice with great pleasure that a number of new exhibitors increases every year, while regular ones stands by their rules to be a reliable partner of PapFor.

PapFor 2010 will continue to integrate global leading pulp & paper machinery, chemicals & services suppliers with Russian companies.

Since PapFor covers all spheres of the Forest Cluster activity from reforestation and rapidly-grown wood plantations aspects up to wood processing with making products with high added value, it gathers all interested people.

On the name of Organizing Committee I would like to thank all of you who have already made a decision to exhibit their products or take part in the conference or simply to visit the Forum as well as those who only plan to do it.

I wish fruitful contacts, finding of new partners, establishing of long-term and successful cooperation and good business results to all participants.
